Vintage Lot 250 Cigar Bands - O'SAN SELECTOS JC WINTER & CO. TRULY MILD
New Old Stock - MINT.
JC Winter & Co closed their last factory in 2011, in Red Lion, PA, after more than 100 years of cigar making.
Begun in 1910, JC Winter & Co put Red Lion on the map, making it one of the wealthiest towns in the U.S. In its hay-day, more than 10 percent of cigars sold in the U.S. were from JC Winter & Company,(also known for Happy Jim's chewing tobacco and chewing
gum)

The Osan region was rich with tobacco and the area thrived on its harvest and sale. Eventually, the tobacco taxes slowly squeezed the life from the company, and the last factory closed in 2011. Most of the stock and memorabilia was sold at auction and remained in the PA area, such were the ties to the community and the fond memories of the many whose families had been employed for generations. I have only seen one other label for sale of this brand, and I have been looking.
I may be undervaluing it, given the nostalgia for the brand and its
history, but I hope someone will appreciate the historical significance.

hey have been stored in a humidor inside another bag with their band strings still intact.
Awesome Find for someone who collects items of historical significance, tobacco and cigar memorabilia, or for a re-seller to parcel out individually.
I would do that myself but I just don't have the time and need the sale to help the rescue animals.
